Free books are always available, you just have to know where to look.
Mailing List Signups / Reader Magnets
These are usually shorter stories written to get you to sign up for their mailing list. You have the option to unsubscribe, so it’s a good deal.
These can be prequels or first chapters, and are sometimes not the author’s best work. However, I am giving my whole first published novella, “Roswell: First Contact”, to get you started on the series. That’s a GREAT deal! If you haven’t downloaded it yet, try: https://dl.bookfunnel.com/j487k158as

(Advance) Review Copies
If you want bigger and often better quality books, review copies might be better for you, and you might even get them before the book is released! With these, you get REAL and often GOOD books. The only catch is that you have to promise to write a review.
These are my published books. If you are interested in writing a review, please you can click on the cover.

Beta Readers

This option requires a lot more work, and there are different types, but you might feel good that you helped make a story better! Also, you can sometimes be paid.
Types of Beta Readers
Plot reader — If you like to read my stories and tell me what you think of the plot, this might be right for you. When you read it, make notes on if you were confused by anything, what interested you, and what didn’t, and then send it to me. I’m currently wanting to know how to make my space battle ending more dramatic. If you think you can help, please let me know asap.
Flow/Pacing reader — If you are reading along, and the story drags on and is boring, please let me know where. Where it is too fast and could use more detail, or the reader just needs a chance to breathe, please let me know where.
Settings/locations reader — Is anyone from Roswell, NM that can help me with locations and culture? Like, what is the clothing like, and is there any slang used in 1947? Did I describe the setting correctly? Has anyone been to space?
Sensitivity reader — One of my characters is a black male, and a few others are female, and I am neither. So, I want to know if I did them justice, and I certainly don’t want to offend anyone. If you are good at this, please let me know.
Specialty reader — I need military and science readers. If you come from either of those backgrounds and can tell me where I when wrong, and more importantly, how to fix it. I NEED YOU!
Line reader — This is the last step, basically proofreading for errors. I already use two spelling and grammar checkers, so there won’t be a lot, but sometimes they get it wrong.
If you are interested in any of these positions, please let me know what interests you, and what experience you have in this department.
