Review: BookFunnel vs Story Origin
Review: Story Origin vs BookFunnel
For Readers:
Story Origin is a great system for both Authors and Readers. Right at the top of the home page it has links for the reader to search for their next great read!

Book Funnel doesn’t seem to have the same interface for readers.

For Authors:
Both Book Funnel and Story Origin have email signup (reader magnet) pages that allow a reader to download a free story, in exchange for their email address so you can send them newsletters.
Both have Universal Book Links (UBL) that allow readers to find the right Amazon (and other) store for the country that the reader is in.
Both have Group Promo’s and Author Swaps, which are one of the cheapest forms of advertising you can get. Basically, you promote other authors and books, and they promote you! It’s a WIN-WIN!
Both have (Advance) Review Copy (ARC’s). However, Story Origin has a system that allows you to check the applicant’s history so you can decide if you want to send them a copy or not.
Most of the services are the same, but Story Origin has a couple more. The Beta Copies section is a great way to keep your feedback in one place. But, the main advantage Story Origin has for authors is a custom website at no extra cost!

Setting up your own customized website is easy, if you know where to look. I didn’t think to click Custom Links, and from there it’s obvious to click Edit Home Page, however, scroll down and click on Book Collections first.
On your homepage, you might want to group your books, so create a book collection, and then add the collection to your homepage.
That’s about it. Now you have a website!
Conclusion:
While Story Origin gives you much more services for your money, Book Funnel has been around longer and has more author swaps, group promo’s and stuff. I personally use both services because I have more opportunities to reach more readers, and they both integrate with my email server MailerLite as well as others.
New Releases Coming Soon!
The Woundless War!

This book has been in the works for a long time.
Because General Jones spans the full story, interacting with all the other characters in the series, I couldn’t decide where to start.
Initially the book was going to start after all the other books ended, and just focus on Jones’s space journey. However, I realized I had to start at the beginning and include his whole story.
We hope it will be out near the end of the summer.
Roswell: First Contact (4th Edition)

The first book in my series, “Roswell: First Contact,” has been totally rewritten, adding Private Adam Rabinowitz to the story line.
Adam Rabinowitz gets captured trying to help aliens, and it’s up to Malcolm Dow to save him, and the world.

Defying Gravity (2nd Edition)

The second edition has minor improvements to the story to give more depth to the characters.
You should be able to download the new edition under Manage Kindle Content (or equivalent).
Charlie’s Big Chance (1st Edition)

Charlotte “Charlie” Baker has lived her life in a wheelchair, dreaming of being a reporter, but she never imagined what lay ahead.
When a UFO crashes in her hometown of Roswell, her world changes. When she and her dog meet General Jones and Malcolm Dow, she vows to keep the aliens secret (for now), so that she can record history. If word of the aliens gets out, there could be panic.
General Scornson and his men are closing in, and if they get the alien technology, it could mean the end of Earth.
