Why World UFO WEEK?

When I started, writing my stories, I did a lot of research and Googled “When did the ufo land in roswell new mexico”, and it always came up with July 7th or 8th. But then, I found out World UFO Day is July 2, as one Wikipedia page claims that was the date.

The one thing we do know is that the Roswell Daily Record newspaper wrote an article about it on July 8, 1947. I wrote that the crash happened the night before, but it doesn’t matter when the crash happened, the news article is the important date.

The key fact I used in my novel are the date, the foil, and some people reported a bell shaped object. From there, I wrote a story the way I imagined it, and how it led to Area 51.

So, whether you believe the UFO crashed in Roswell on July 2, 4, 7 or 8 (or anywhere in between), HAPPY WORLD UFO WEEK!
