One of the reasons I started writing was because much of what’s out there is full of doom, gloom, and anxiety. It seemed like writers would capitalize on worst-case-scenario cliffhangers. My stress levels couldn’t take it anymore, and I had to stop; I didn’t care that I didn’t know how it ended.
So, I do my best to write the opposite; uplifting stories without big cliffhangers or stress. Sure, I put in teasers at the end of the book, hinting at what the next storyline is, but I don’t think readers will be sitting on the edge of their seats until they get it.
Now, I know I’m not going to sell as many books because of it, but that’s not my goal. My goal is that you can enjoy reading my stories when it is convenient, and finish them in a reasonable time.
