Depiction of Zalmen Society and Physiology
The Zalmen are presented as a fundamentally pacifist society. They have no understanding of violence, weapons, or aggressive conflict, and their society is built upon principles of peace and consensual decision-making. They are mostly farmers.
Their pacifist nature, and inability to kill, makes them vegetarian. All animals on Zalma are herbivores. They have never heard of carnivores and refuse to even discuss the topic.
The Zalmen are hesitant to contact the humans on Earth for help, but they have no other options. Their only enemy, the Moad, are bombing Zalma who’s planetary deflectors (built for meteors) are failing. Earth is the only planet that is advanced enough to help them.
Zalmen are basically xenophobic, have no ambition to explore the universe, and lack creativity.
The Zalmen resemble humans but lack hair and have different colors.
The Zalmen are pacifists, they came to Earth hoping for negotiators, but also knowing that they may need more. They brought their technology with the condition that we not use it to kill.
